Kaufman & Ruth Park Woods
The Green Center works to manage two local woodlands: Kaufman Park Woods and Ruth Park Woods.
Kaufman Park Woods sits just to the north of the Green Home and Greenhouse and runs along the edge of Mulberry Lane almost to Groby Rd. Along its edge are The Green Center beehives which provide us with the local honey we offer for sale.
Ruth Park Woods is located at 1100 McKnight Road in University City. This 26 acre wooded pocket of land is the last large stand of an oak/hickory hardwood forest in the St. Louis area. Therefore it is of vital importance to us that we help to help keep it safe and thriving.
