Summer Camps

Summer Camp Schedule 2026

REGISTRATION FORM
Spend the summer at one of The Green Center’s Nature Explorer Camps!  Each camp will have students explore our prairie, forest, wetland, greenhouse and discovery garden outdoor classrooms. Programming will take place both indoors and outdoors. Please note: Students do need to bring a lunch each day.

**PLEASE NOTE:  A 40% cancellation fee will be charged from the enrollment fee anytime after a student is registered.  No refunds are given 2 weeks prior to a registered camp.**


NATURE PLAY CAMP 
*Register by May 22
This 5-day camp will reconnect children to nature and offer them experiences to explore, discover and interact with the natural environment.  Students will use their senses in the outdoors, learn about different habitats, identify plants and animals, create art projects, meet our chickens and explore our outdoor spaces each day!
Date:  JUNE 1-5
Ages:  5-7 years old                                              
Time:  *9:00am - 3:00pm                                              
Cost:
$180 (includes all materials)
*Before & After Care is available at 8:30am and until 3:30pm each day, upon request, for an additional $25 fee for the week.


NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP  
*Register by May 29
Learn how to take nature photographs in our beautiful outdoor spaces in this 5-day camp.  Students will learn the basics of using a digital camera, develop their photography skills by taking pictures in the natural settings of our outdoor spaces and participate in a variety of photography projects using their own photos.  Cameras will be provided for students to use.                       
Date: JUNE 8-12
Ages: 8-13 years old                                                 
Time:  *9:00am - 3:00pm                                              
Cost:
$225  (includes all materials)
*Before & After Care is available at 8:30am and until 3:30pm each day, upon request, for an additional $25 fee for the week.


GET OUTDOORS CAMP  
*Register by June 26
This 5-day camp will teach children to be creative with nature and discover new ways to get OUTside and play!  Each day will be full of activities such as hiking, building forest forts, creating art projects out of natural materials, games and more!
Date: JULY 6-10
Ages:  8-13 years old                                              
Time:  *9:00am - 3:00pm                                              
Cost:
$180  (includes all materials)
*Before & After Care is available at 8:30am and until 3:30pm each day, upon request, for an additional $25 fee for the week.


GREEN CHEF CAMP 
*Register by July 10
Students will be cooking with nature in this 5-day camp.  Learn about the plants we have in our gardens, how to grow them and use them to make delicious dishes.  We will explore our native Missouri plants and learn about their medicinal uses, hunt for wild edibles and learn about chickens.  Only hungry kids need apply! 
Date: JULY 20-24
Ages:  8-13 years old                      
Time:  *9:00am - 3:00pm                                              
Cost:
$225  (includes all materials)
*Before & After Care is available at 8:30am and until 3:30pm each day, upon request, for an additional $25 fee for the week.


GREEN CHEF CAMP #2 
*Register by July 10
