with

Executive Director of the
L-A-D Foundation & Pioneer Forest
Tuesday, August 19 6pm
Jennifer Battson Warren is a lifelong Missourian, raised in rural Osage County, where her passion for natural resources, land management, and the outdoors was sparked on her grandparents’ farms. She began her academic journey in business before finding her calling at the University of Missouri’s School of Natural Resources, where she earned a degree in forestry and was first introduced to Pioneer Forest and the L-A-D Foundation.
Over a distinguished 31-year career with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), Jennifer gained extensive field experience and held leadership roles across nearly every facet of the agency’s work—including forestry, GIS, IT, private lands conservation, wildlife management, planning, and administration.
In 2015, she made history as MDC’s first female Deputy Director, a milestone achieved through her collaborative leadership, inclusive approach, and unwavering dedication to conservation. Her career has been defined by a commitment to building a more welcoming and equitable culture in conservation—one where women and minorities can thrive and contribute fully.
Today, Jennifer serves as Executive Director of the L-A-D Foundation and Pioneer Forest, Missouri’s largest private landowner and a leader in sustainable forest management. She continues to champion values-based leadership, having implemented organizational behaviors at L-A-D that foster belonging and accountability.
A proud mother of three independent adult children, Jennifer brings the work ethic of her rural roots, a deep sense of empathy, and a passion for conservation to everything she does.
