Our "Nature Play" after school programs reconnect children (Ages 4-10) to nature and offer them experiences to explore, discover, and interact with the natural environment. Connecting children to nature has beneficial effects on a child's health, development, and well-being. Sign up your child for one, two, or all of these programs!

Spring 2026 Schedule
TUESDAY, April 07- Eco-Literacy: “My Pollinator Garden”
Students will dive into the world of pollination by listening to the book “My Pollinator Garden” by Jordan Zwetchkenbaum and then take a nature walk to look for pollinators in our gardens!
TUESDAY, April 14- Nature's Sketchbook: Spring Edition
Spring wildflowers are the harbinger of spring and are fun to find if you know where to search! Learn where they grow and why they are important to pollinators and birds. You will use these flowers to create your own spring sketchbook!
TUESDAY, April 21- EARTH DAY: Speak for the Trees!
Find out the importance of trees by reading "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss and identify the different kinds of trees around the Center.
TUESDAY, April 28- Green Thumbs Up
It’s never too early to discover a green thumb for planting! Learn how plants grow, tour our greenhouse, and plant your own seeds to take home to enjoy!
TUESDAY, May 05- STEMKids: Nature in Focus
Bring Spring into focus using our portable microscopes! Students will become curious scientists as they take a closer look and study what is growing around the Center.

Time: 4:00-5:00pm
Cost: $10 per student/program
