Nature & Art Education > Scout Badges
Each season of the year offers wonderful opportunities to earn Girl Scout or Boy Scout badges at the Green Center's 30 acres of woods, wetland, prairie, and learning gardens. For more information about Girl Scout and Boy Scout badges, please visit 2008 Field Trips. Most badge requirements will be completed during the field trip time and some will need to be completed at home. Experienced volunteers are ready to go, so contact us to reserve a date and time for your troop. Please hurry because we are filling up fast!
Each Scout program is 1-2 hours with a fee of $7 per scout (there is no charge for scout leaders and adult chaperone's). Scout programs can be scheduled Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm. We also offer programs on selected Saturdays in 2008 (January 05, February 23, March 15 and April 05).

We also offer these additional opportunities:
  • Outdoor classes: prairie, wetland, & woods ($7 per Scout)
  • Community service projects (no fee)
  • Self-guided nature walks (no fee)
All of us appreciate the work Girl Scout and Boy Scout leaders are doing, especially in these troubled times. Dr. Jane Goodall, United Nations Peace Ambassador, says, "Strive to teach young people the interconnectedness and interdependence of all life forms: we are all in this world together."
