Deborah Douglas: Recent Paintings & Works on Paper
All Ages

Join us Saturday, August 9, for the opening reception of Deborah Douglas' solo exhibit featuring new works created for display at The Green Center. The exhibit runs through September 12.

Speaking of her art, Douglas has said, “My work deals with the exploration of color and pattern juxtaposed with a vocabulary of imagery that come from a variety of personal and societal references. These images naturally deal with those things closest to me. They serve a purpose of providing a link to the viewer; perhaps through a shared experience, while at the same time serving as an autobiographical resource. Characters and fragments of stories from my own experiences are wrapped up in the formal elements of art making. My art illustrates how my head makes connections. I tend to think about things. A lot.”
