Spring 2011 Community Restoration Event
Memorial Day Run
Volunteers needed: 7 AM - 11 AM
The Green Center, in conjunction with the University City Children's Center, the University City Library, and U City in Bloom, sponsors the annual Memorial Day Run through the streets of University City. Proceeds from the Race go to support all four organizations.
Volunteers are needed to assist with this fun and popular athletic event.
Help direct and time runners along the course, provide water, and assist with registration or at the finish line. It's all over by 11 am and it's great fun!
National Public Lands Day
Last Saturday of September: Saturday, September 25th, 2010
Volunteers are needed to participate in the event, as well as to help solicit donations and market the event. To help make this important community restoration event a reality, contact Kathleen at 314-725-8314 x 105.
Fall Fire Festival
First Saturday in November: Saturday, November 13th, 2010
Volunteers are needed: to assist with the set-up of the event and to help clean up afterward. Contact Jan at 314-725-8314 x102 if interested in helping out with this collaborative event!
Art Exhibits
Opportunities to assist throughout the year
If you're interested in art exhibitions, consider volunteering to help with exhibit set-up, promotion, clean-up, or artist opening receptions. If you have an eye for art and enjoy working with people, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
