The People To People Project

People-to-People is an international organization which works to achieve international understanding through national and international contacts and community programs within the scope of international contact, youth and education, and community action. In 1975, as part of the American Bicentennial Celebration the People-to-People Chapter in University City decided to plant 40 trees in Heman Park in University City creating an arboretum. Shortly thereafter the City offered to plant an additional ten trees in honor of the 50 states in the union. Since the original planting, several other trees have been planted as dedications or memorials to individuals in the community.

Using the Arboretum Map and Arboretum Tree Listing Database, you can take a self-guided tour.
