Nature Explorer: Summer Camps
Spend the summer at one of The Green Center’s Nature Explorer Camps! Each camp will have students explore our prairie, forest, wetland, greenhouse and discovery garden outdoor classrooms.
Programming will take place both indoors and outdoors. Students should dress appropriately for the weather. Please note: Students do need to bring a lunch each day.
Nature Explorer: Nature Photography Camp 2 sessions available (different age groups)
Learn how to take nature photographs in our beautiful outdoor spaces in this 5-day camp! Students will learn the basics of using a digital camera, develop their photography skills by taking pictures in the natural settings of our outdoor spaces and participate in a variety of photography projects using their own photos. Cameras will be provided for students to use.

Nature Explorer: Nature Play Camp 1 session available
This 5-day camp will reconnect children to nature and offer them experiences to explore, discover and interact with the natural environment. Students will participate in programming such as using their senses in the outdoors, learning about different habitats, identifying plants and animals, nature scavenger hunts and growing plants from seed.
Date: June 24-28 Ages: 5-7 years old

Nature Explorer: Summer Break Camp 1 session available
Students will learn new ways to explore the outdoors in this 5-day camp by participating in fun activities such as a letterboxing scavenger hunt, planting their own fall garden in our Geodesic greenhouse, and creating nature related photography and art projects.
Date: August 05-09 Ages: 8-12 years old

Space is limited for each camp! Registration will be on a first come basis.

"Show Me" Science & Art Summer Experience (SASE)
Program for youth agencies & schools
Offered by The Green Center and Missouri State Parks
The "Show Me" SASE camp connects children to nature near where they live. During this camp, children explore the outdoor classrooms at The Green Center and Missouri State Parks. Professional artists will share their craft with the students and weave artistic creativity into their study of the natural world. Please contact The Green Center if your youth agency would like to participate in one of these camps scheduled for July in 2013.

above, rabbits digging ditches,
ladybugs rushing home,
plants bumping,
spraying seeds,
and sparkling flowers
and blazing stars

it’s Mardi Gras.
